01

Verify the requested identity and residency records

Ask which documentation supports eligibility for the selected program and whether anything must remain valid through closing. A tax identifier alone does not answer every residency or underwriting question. Seek qualified legal advice where status interpretation is needed.

02

Explain income continuity

The lender may need employer details, wage records, filed tax information or evidence of foreign income. Translations and currency treatment can be program-specific. Explain employment transitions accurately and ask what must be verified before closing.

03

Document international assets

Keep source statements, transfer confirmations and the receiving-account trail. Ask whether gifts, business funds and foreign assets are eligible and how reserves are measured. Use the lender’s secure portal; do not paste account numbers, Social Security numbers or immigration documents into this site.

Keep personal identity, tax and banking documents in your lender’s verified secure process.

A question worth asking

Can a translated document alone establish eligibility?

No. The lender must evaluate the required evidence under the actual program, and legal questions may need separate advice.
